The Avenue Mac Orlan Association
Pierre Mac Orlan : A multi-talented Péronne native
Born in 1882 in Péronne, Pierre Mac Orlan established himself as a major artist of the early 20th century.
- A master of words: A writer, journalist, poet, and lyricist, this multi-talented Péronne native was renowned for his incomparable love of language.
- National recognition: His talent led him to become a member of the prestigious Académie Goncourt for 20 years, from 1950 to 1970.
- Rooted in the history of the Somme: Deeply connected to his homeland, he was wounded during the Battle of the Somme in 1916, just a few kilometers from Péronne.
Today, our association keeps his legacy alive by bringing together all generations for the “Cygnes des Temps” show, a community project blending culture and solidarity.
